The Village of Forestburg is a hidden gem located on Highway 53, approximately 70 km east of Bashaw or 25 km south of highway 13.   You probably won’t find us by accident, but the intentional trip is definitely worth the drive.

We are proud participants in the Communities in Bloom program and the citizens of our village take great pride in the care and maintenance of their yards.  We are fortunate to have many well established trees lining our streets and have won awards for our “urban forest”.

While visiting our community you can take advantage of the many recreational facilities we offer as well as our museum and coal bucket display.  The “Esco Dragline Bucket” is an 11 cubic yard bucket from the Marion 7400 Dragline used to strip overburden off the coal.  It is located just off Highway 53 just east of the school.

Past Times Walk

The local Communities in Bloom group developed a self-directed historical tour, if you are planning on visiting our community, we invite you to download the map and take a leisurely walk around our Village and view our historical sites.
